Audit Manager

For one of our clients, a Zurich and Basel based Private Bank, we are looking for an Internal Audit Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Take on the role of Lead Auditor, including goal-oriented and timely planning, independent execution, and prompt communication of results from end-to-end audits
  • Draft clear and insightful audit reports
  • Act as a sounding board and strategic partner to senior management
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective measures
  • Prepare statements and recommendations for the Head of Group Internal Audit, the Board of Directors, or other key decision-makers
  • Participate in special investigations and internal projects
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Front Office Compliance topics such as AML, Cross-Border matters, and/or Investment Suitability

Profile:

  • Completed banking apprenticeship or a higher education in business administration (University or University of Applied Sciences); certifications such as CIA, CPA, CFA or similar are required. A Swiss Certified Public Accountant qualification is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor in banking audit, either at a bank or audit firm, with strong expertise in Front Office compliance topics (AML, Cross-Border, Investment Suitability)
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office; experience with Avaloq is a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and evaluate complex issues
  • High level of integrity, professional ethics, and sense of responsibility
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Hands-on attitude with a strong ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Fluent in German and English; fluency in French is a plus
