Business Risk Manager ME – Private Banking

For one of our clients, a Geneva based Private Bank, we are looking for a Business Risk Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end‑to‑end onboarding of client relationships.
• Execute formal checks across all risk tiers of client onboarding and review documentation to ensure full compliance with local and international regulations (CDB, CRS, FATCA) and the Bank’s internal policies.
• Assess onboarding files (AML, KYC, KYT, adverse media screening) to mitigate potential risks, focusing primarily on standard and medium‑risk relationships before submission to Compliance.
• Document, review, and close all normal and medium‑risk transactional alerts clarified by the Front Office within the required timeframe.
• Report and escalate any deviations from established standards to management and control functions as per internal guidelines.
• Implement improvements based on Compliance Quality Control feedback, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management related to the employee’s mission.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Background in Private Banking, Central File, or Wealth Management Compliance, with strong knowledge of CDB, AML, tax regulations, and sanctions frameworks. Experience with MEA markets is nice to have.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the agility to interact smoothly across various seniority levels.
• Solid command of Bank systems and MS Office tools; familiarity with Power BI is beneficial.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages, particularly Arabic, are an asset.
• Solution‑driven team player, capable of working autonomously.
• Resilient under pressure, dependable, and adaptable.
• Eager to learn, develop new competencies, and progress within an agile organization.
• Swiss residency is mandatory.
