IT – Senior Automation Engineer

For one of our clients, a Zurich and Basel based Private Bank, we are looking for an IT Senior Automation Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automated testing scripts based on provided technical specifications
• Continuously expand the scope of test automation to maximize coverage
• Ensure all automated test scenarios execute reliably and without errors
• Perform test execution, followed by thorough analysis and validation of results
• Contribute to the enhancement and evolution of the automation framework
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of development cycles

Profile:

• Higher education (University or University of Applied Sciences) in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
• Certifications or formal training in IT System Administration, System Engineering, or related disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation
• Solid grasp of programming fundamentals and coding best practices
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus
• Proficient in advanced Excel and SQL; familiarity with system architecture, APIs, and PL/SQL is beneficial
• Background in CI/CD processes, distributed systems, and microservices architecture will allow for growth and engagement in more complex challenges over time
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization
• Fluent in English; German language is a plus
