Middle Office Expert

For one of our clients, a Geneva based Private Bank, we are looking for a Middle Office Expert.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for operational inquiries, ensuring client requests are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Handle securities and FX trade matching, issue instructions to external parties, and monitor settlement processes.
  • Oversee OTC and ETD trade matching as well as clearing activities.
  • Prepare and deliver daily activity reports to relevant third parties.
  • Carry out daily reconciliations of portfolio positions, cash balances, and transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of new processes and control frameworks.
  • Supervise the day-to-day management of collateral related to derivatives.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of collateral balances with counterparties, addressing discrepancies quickly.
  • Work closely with custodians, clearing brokers, and counterparties to guarantee smooth collateral flows and settlements.

 

Your Profile

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Asset Management, Operations, or FX-related activities.
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business management.
  • Solid understanding of fund structures, share class operations, and regulatory frameworks (EMIR, UCITS, AIFMD).
  • Strong knowledge of currency markets, hedging instruments (forwards, swaps), and collateral management practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Awareness of operational risks and in mitigating them.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Proactive, innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Swiss residency required.
